Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

hi everyone. i'm having a nightmare trying to figure out how to do
this..... 
Basically, i need to set up the environment so that i can completely
re-patch the in and out 
ports of my 2 MT4s. Thus enableing me to be able to trigger my
external midi gear via 
either logic's sequencer or  MPC2000 sequencer without disrupting the
physical midi set 
up. I'm 90% sure that this can be done but there seems to be a
missing Environment 
object, the MIDI Out Port object, which is refered to in the Logic
Reference Manual (page 
239) but it is no where to be seen in Logic. As all other objects
it's supposed to be located 
under 'New' in the Environment. I'm pretty sure that this is the
object i need to do what i 
want... Can anyone shed any light on this???
