there is a feature called fade in and fade out in the upper left corner of the arrange view for each audio track for fade in set a number greater than zero (it is in milliseconds) this works quickly and transparently and eliminates any crossover error in the clip ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Logic_Cafe@yahoogroups.com Sent: 7/2/2005 2:36:29 PM Subject: Re: [Logic_Cafe] Pops Between Audio Track Sequences In the sample editor go to the option to find zero crossings. Its not that obvious graphically as you might expect even on a mono file because the graph you see is a "connect the dots" so I think you might have a positive bit followed by a negative one, and the line appears to cross the axis. However, in practice, I usually turn this feature off, and just just reposition the start point of the sample at what looks close to a the start of big wave, and look for a trough at the back end too. For drastic situations you can actually get the pencil and draw over spikes and such but that a last resort. I recorded a friend playing a classical piano piece. We did about 8-9 takes of her doing the piece and I'm trying to do a little cut/paste work to get the best of her work all into one track. It seems like when I paste, a little pop is created. Any ideas? I tried what I think is a cross-fade, and that didn't help. YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS Visit your group "Logic_Cafe" on the web.
