AFAIK, yes.

Actually, this was one of my first thoughts when first reading about the 
nodes feature. Only trouble is, XServes are seriously more expensive 
than normal desktop computers (!) They're probably 'industrial' quality 
rather than 'consumer' quality, or sumthin'...

So, what I've been hoping Apple'd bring out is a range of 'consumer' 
XServe nodes, with correspondingly lower prices. Waiting til mid-Jan to 
see what get announced...
