Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

I would like add a PC laptop in order to complement my existing Mac G4
dual 1.25 logic setup...

 I'm sure many of these applications would be better suited for a desktop
unit - however I would like to find out how much I can get accomplished on a
PC laptop.

 I would like to find out the best PC - CPU platform to do digital music on
a PC laptop ... Pentium 4 3.0 - or Centrino 1.6 etc...


 I would like to be able to do professional digital audio using applications
such as giga studio - LIVE -  and native instrument applications such as
Kontact -  and other bundled apps like this...

-  I know the basic rule is to get the best and fastest computer you can
with as much RAM and hard disk speed and space as possible ... however I
would like to also know...

- * Do I have to get a Pentium 4 - 3.0 or above laptop PC  -  or can I get
by using a Centrino 1.6 or above to accomplish some of this music.

-  if there are other Web sites / forums / URL links that can guide me in my
purchase ... I would anxiously love to find out about them...

This is uncharted territory for me ( being a Mac person), so I'm very
interested in finding out some basic data on this subject.
