AWESOME! Thank you for the response and questions. I fear that this discussion may roam a little far from typical Logic subject matter, but nobody ever posts to this list anyways, so hopefully nobody will be offended by our conversation. >Great. I don't see any MP3 samples on >your site so I can't check it out. There's tons of mp3s on my site. There are entire albums of material free to download. To get samples of each song from the new "Jon's Candy" album, please go here: http://www.jonzaremba.com/new.htm >Would you care to share some of the >lessons you learned from the experience? Sure. Despite common audiophile practice, louder IS better. Get yourself a PSP Vintage Warmer and rock on out!!! Apply distortion to each drum track individually (as opposed to applying it on a bus). Stick other stuff in Space Designer other than reverb IR's...it makes for some good sounds. I've also found it helpful to watch DVDs of great movies while creating music. I have a portable DVD player that i sit on my controller keyboard. I watch inspiring films (with the sound turned off of course) as i work. >I mistakenly thought this had something to >do with the deceased comediate John Candy >at first, but then I discovered that its >actually does - and I was mistaken about >my mistakenness. Is it a musical homage of sorts? Yes. I am a fan of good comedy. 99% of the comedians working today are disgraceful. John Candy was pretty much the end of an era. It was originally recorded as an EP, but later lengthened to LP for the label release. Many of my previous albums contained special intro's by my favorite comedians (Emo Philips, Brother Dave Gardner, Steve Martin, etc...). >negroes only breed (positive version) 05 >... >because of their pedigreed evil intentions, >and the disgust we have towards all zombies, >anyone who supports hip hop culture is our >enemy 07 >... >be the power (deathstalker version) 08 >-------------------------------------- >Sounds really "positive" ... in fact totally >positive and heart warming.... something for >the whole family in fact. None of my music is family music. And none of it is heart warming either. That Disney stuff is evil. Go listen to Elton John if you want that. However, all of my recent material is extremely positive. I worship heroes, and make music that exemplifies my adoration. Regarding "Negroes Only Breed (Positive Version) and hip hop music in general, it is abysmal to the human spirit to regard tribalism, vandalism, plagiarism, and nihilism as good. Anyone who supports the destruction of individuality, objective thought, and righteousness is certainly my enemy. Therefore, "anyone who supports hip hop culture is certainly my enemy". Regarding "Be the Power (Deathstalker Version)"....if you were into underground fantasy films, you'd understand the homage here. "Deathstalker" is one of the greatest sword and sorcery movies ever made. >I don't quite get the overall theme fo >these CD's... from light whimsy to what >seems to be an ecletic blend of Christianity, >racism, and violent intentions. That's too bad that you don't understand. Here are some links that will help you: http://www.jonzaremba.com/words/thesis.htm This was the thesis to my old defunct site, Save the Universe. http://www.jonzaremba.com/words/romantic.htm This is my review of the Ayn Rand book "The Romantic Manifesto". I am not a Christian or any other sort of mystic faith. I am not a racist or any other sort of tribalist. And i haven't been in a fight since 4th grade! So how abouts buying a CD? They're only $5 and they'll turn your frown upside down! I Guarantee it! Just go to Lucky Unicorn at: http://www.luckyunicorn.com. Thank you for the interest. I sincerely mean this...
