Where were they before?
Have you done a search for the text "component?"
Have you checked the plug-ins folder in the audio folder in the library 
folder in both your home and the general hard drive location?

I can't think of any other options to find out where they are.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
