Well seeing as how hes talking about the Arpeggiator in the Environment 
I think its pretty obvious he wants it to play an arpeggiated chord from 
one of his synths.

And actually heres the definition of an arpeggio:
    1.  The sounding of the tones of a chord in rapid succession rather 
than simultaneously.
    2. A chord played or sung in this manner.


Sorry cant actually tell you how to use the Arp though, I just use the 
ones on my hardware synths, never actually done it with a softsynth in 
Logic before..
