why don't you use fast user switching on the mac? you can even have one user account for your music set up and another for yourself for non-music stuff. (I don't use that because I put separate systems on each of two internal hard disks.) I think in that way, each family member will have a separate world and separate mail box. The mac is a studio only computer, it´s not even situated in the same house so that´s not the problem. The problem is that my email account is basically one address and then we all tap into that account through aliases. I can´t find a way to get the mac mail program to leave the mail on the server that I don´t want to receive. It´s a PITA and there must be way to overcome this. It´s a very common situation and on PC everybody I know handles this by setting up very simple rules in the mail program. Another problem is of course that I am by no means a mac expert.
