by the way, there is another type of emulation plug - the new one made by 
line6 - its geared more for guitar and bass amps, and various vintage echos and 
phasers, but it also has some studio preamps modeled. they make an audio unit 
version which has hundreds of different amps and preamps. I would get it, 
except i already have two pods, and I can use the sounds that way. 

I really like dealing with Line6. They have given me several free hardware 
things, and did not even charge shipping.
