PitchnTime is from the Australian company Serato while Melodyne is from the 
German company Celemony. I think there are two or three levels of Melodyne, and 
then they have the plugin version also. I think Melodyne is a better buy -

Both Melodyne and Live allow far superior loop manipulation than Logic itself 
does. So Serato is a one-trick pony. It would be interesting to do a 
comparison of audio results for Serato, Radius, Live, and Melodyne (I can do the 
latter two if someone can do the first two). Both Melodyne and Live allow you to 
warp the audio or intuitively adjust the audio. Melodyne allows you to treat any 
audio more or less like the matrix window in logic - you can tweak the start 
time, pitch, or duration of any individual note or group of notes. Furthermore 
it allows you to adjust the formants of individual or groups of notes. Its 
very fast to create a vocal harmony line from a single line - and that includes 
non-parallel lines. You move everything up a third, then adjust individual 
notes to make them minor 3, major 3, 4th, etc.

And everyone knows about Live's warp abilities which are slick way to get 
audio in line. Plus it comes with a lot of their own plugs, which automatable. I 
really like the innovations of Live, but in all honesty its so different that 
it frustrates me at times, so I stick with Logic. The midi in Live sucks, and 
some other things are rudimentary. 

Considering they are all roughly the same price, there is so much more bang 
for the buck with Melodyne and Live, I don't know how Serato stays in business.

Of course, I use Logic as my main platform, but I consider these other 
programs to make up for Logic's very date audio handling capabilities - which have 
changed little in 8 years or so. Even Apple's soundtrack is better to edit 
audio (e.g. multiple undo's, grids, etc).
