If you are uncomfortable modifying the program package, you can
accomplish the same thing by putting PNG format image files in this
directory:

~/Library/Application Support/Logic/Images/Icons/

The tilde ( ~ ) is your home directory.

The maximum Image size should be 128 x 128 pixels. The numbering
rules stated above still apply. Apparently Logic looks in this
directory first and will use any custom icons there instead of the
built-in icons of the same name.

I've created custom icons for my hardware synths doing this and it's
worked quite well. :D
