Hello Logicians, I am crossposting this from the Logic Users Group here at Yahoo in HOPES of some help!! I'm a newbie user of Logic, Logic Express 7.2 to be exact. I've had it for last six months installed on a Mac G4 MDD 1.25GHz running OSX 10.3.9. While I have just learned to record simple audio tracks, the Environment still stumps me, even after watching the MacPro video seriees. To cut the chase, my setup is comprised of a M-Audio FW 41o audio interface, MIDI keyboard controller, a MOTU Microlite 5-in/5-out USB MIDI interface, Mackie 1604VLZ mixer and five external MIDI modules (RY30 drum machine, TX-81Z, TG77, TG55, and Roland VS-880EX) (I come from pre-OSX world and had everything running fine). I ran Logic setup after I had all external MIDI modules connected to the MOTU interface and have my MIDI keyboard sending MIDI to Logic via the FW-410. I set up (so I think) correctly the multiinstuments in the Audio layer of the enviroment, opening all 16 channel of each multiiinstrument for each module according to its associated port on the Microlite and set up the multinstruments in the Instruments layer in the environment also. In the Parameter area of the Arrange window, I have the proper port corresponding to the physical port the module is connected to on the Microlite, as well as it's associated MIDI receive and transmit channels. I saved all of this as an autoload song. The issue is when I reboot Logic. I get an alert for the TG55, TX81Z, and TG77 saying that they are sending MIDI to a port that is not available (all though the show connected in Audio MIDI Setup). When I got to check in the Arrange window, the five ports of the Microlite show, but are grayed out. What have I done wrong or didn't do at all? A link to a .pdf of my DAW signal flow is here: http://www.vibesnscribes.com/ 0776_001.jpg I hope it might help, although I think my confusion is what I did or didnt do in the Environment. Sorry for being so long winded, and possibly confusing, I've just been struggling with my particular learning curve of Logic for months now, and would like to finish this long overdue CD project. I've read the FAQs and some threads (as I will again), but ANY assistance would be HIGHLY appreciated. This group is great and the expertise is phenomenal.... Thanks, Doug
