1. Open the environment to the page with your 2 virtual instruments  
on it.
2.  Create 2 new objects:  Instrument and Transformer
3. Cable the new instrument to the transformer
4.  Double click on the transformer and for MODE select "Condition  
Splitter..."
5. Status = Note, Pitch >=Whatever split point you want
6.  Close transform window and connect the top transformer cable to  
the high note v-inst. and the bottom one to the low-note VI.  When  
you get a warning about already assigned a port, click REMOVE.
7.  In the arrange window, assign a track to the new instrument you  
created and play on that track.

Done.
