Re: [Logic_Cafe] Help! In L8 I want the L7 Asterisk RE-RECORD function back!!!!

i don't have an answer for you - but I think I would just loop it and let it roll for as many bad takes as necessasry - then later trim the file, or copy it, and delete the original.

Subject: [Logic_Cafe] Help! In L8 I want the L7 Asterisk RE-RECORD function back!!!!

Hey Guys,

In Logic 7 when you were making a recording and the take was going poorly, you could

merely hit "record" on the transport, or the asterisk key. This would start the recording all

over, beginning with your click count in.

In logic 8 I have to: stop, delete, empty trash, go back, record.

This particularly stinks because I have a vocal booth and I have to go in/out for

everything. I have a powerpoint remote that I can use as a remote from the booth, but

without the one-click, re-record that tool is rendered useless.

I know I can activate loop record and then do multiple takes in the booth, but I'm

wondering if somebody knows how to bring back a logic 7 feature that I LOVED.

Thanks,

Pete
