What do actually you mean by access?
Try the following (visual using a mouse and not keyboard shorcuts)
Set up an instrument channel strip in Logic.
In either the mixer or in the channel strip inspector go to the
bottom (just above teh sliders)
see I/O
Put the mouse on the button just below the letters I/O and hold the
(left) mouse button down and you should see a list of the available
"instruments" etc
Select the one you want and it should assign it and simply i open up
allowing hyou to adjust etc.
If you have an instrument already assigned and you wanna open it to
make changes etc
double clicking on instrument name (same place as above) in the same
location should open the instrument.
