Re: [Logic_Cafe] I Can't Hear My Keyboard

Did you try opening Apple's Audio-MIdi utility to install the keyboard?

You also need to go to the synthesizer itself and make sure its on Midi
mode. Usually there are three modes : midi control only (then you
keyboard will not sound if you play it), local control (it will not
sound via midi) and both.

Hi Tim,

This is because the midi local control of your Alesis synth is turned

off, as it is your master keyboard, proof is that all instruments

receive midi, right?

To solve the problem, you open the environment, create an instrument

in the midi part, go to the inspector, name is Alesis QS6 for example,

and select the midi port of your motu interface that connects to your

keyboard.

This should solve the problem, as this way Logic will be able to SEND

info to your keyboard.

Take care
