Re: [Logic_Cafe] Re: I Can't Hear My Keyboard

2009-09-09 by Steve Currington

Ok.. Cool...

Open the Audio tool that came with the Motu

Make sure that the Phones are assigned to "listen" to the correct
output that the audio is being sent to.
You can set the phones to listen to any output and it is possible
without realizing it that in fact you are listening to the wrong one.
ala say for example make sure Phones are listening to Analog1-2
(which are probably the main outputs)..

You can check what output the data is being sent on I think by opening
up the CueMix utility and watching the meters in that and then making
sure that the headphone is also "listening" to the same one.
Actually I think the LCD on the front of the Motu828 will tell you
the same info.
Also make sure that in CueMix the Headphones are also set with the
Monitor button turned on (bottom of the headphones strip in CueMix) -
from memory if that is off the the phones are effectively muted..

I don't have my Motu Traveler here and set up at the moment so can't
actually do screen shots and test and/or recall exactly what shows
where - sorry - I'm doing this from memory.
