I don't really have an idea. The only thing I can say that seems similiar, is that occasionally I have had Logic crashes (with 6.4 and 7) - after which the audio drivers are not recognized, even after a reboot. I need to run Terminal and Disk Utility, then the driver becomes functional again. On my other mac (X 10.3.6 too), I have had occasional crashes where other preferences have been wiped out - a few weeks ago, my date got reset to 1904 or something like that.
So I would recommend
1. On the computer side :
- run terminal ("sudo periodic daily" and "sudo periodic weekly")
- run Disk Utility and repair permissions
- Check your midi system preference to make sure the Triton is present
- reboot
- check the keyboard with another program, e.g. there are stand alone versions of Battery or other synths, or try another program like Live or something else - to see if its a problem with Logic, or the environment being messed up. There are various cases in Logic where you hit UNDO and it doesn't undo the change (e.g. to a plugin setting) and instead undoes some change like editing the environment.
2. On the hardware side :
Then you need to check the midi interface, try leaving everything as is, but just switch the cables to the keyboards, and see if things work out. That should pretty well determine if its the midi interface or the keyboard.
