me. I'm up to the challenge.
Lets not. Things are as they are. This kind of platform war has ruined many a list, and in fact, they flared up on the main LUG several times and prompted some harsh moderation.
Ultimately the discussion is pointless becuase no one sells their computer and goes out and buys the other type. And meanwhile a lot of 'non combatants' get bored and irritated at the flood of messages.
I think we can agree that macs are generally more expensive (possibly a lot more expensive, possibly just a little more when you set them up for digital audio with a similar configuration), and probably Macs are easier to use and maintain, and provide for more productive workflow and easier setup, but Windows has improved from what it used to be and knowledgable people can get similar results on PCs.
Perfectly professional results are possible on both systems. Although it seems that most top pros use Macs, I read that the recent musical movie De-Lovely used 5 PC's running Nuendo for its sound.
