Peachpit debuts Logic Pro, Express training guide

Peachpit Press has published Apple Pro Training Series: Logic Pro 7 and Logic Express 7, the second edition of the guide written by Martin Sitter. The 608-page guide was approved by Apple and was updated to cover the newest features in Logic Pro 7 and Logic Express 7, including distributed audio processing between multiple Macs, a new plug-in that recreates 11 different guitar amps, new software instruments and performance enhancements. Sitter's book takes a project-based approach, starting with setting up the software and then moving on to cover editing sequences, mixing techniques and more. An accompanying CD includes the files needed to complete the guide's lessons. The cover price is US$44.99, but it's available for $40.94 on the Peachpit site, with members paying $33.74.
