That is true.  I have not even thought about midi latency in ages.

There are devices like the Unitor that time stamp midi so if the device 
that is sending the midi to the unitor has consistent latency once it 
hits the unitor the midi events are given a time stamp that logic 
recognizes and will reproduce in the play back of virtual instruments 
in exactly the same place every time for the rest of eternity.

That is of course unless Logic Balsa gets into one of its "can't sync 
moods".
