Sample rate question.

Howdy, all. Logic Pro 6.4 on a G5, running OS 10.4 I'm working on a project that was recorded on an Alesis HD machine, at 24 bit, 48khz. Is there no way in logic to mix (bounce) the song, or otherwise convert the final stereo mixes from 48khz to the CD standard 44.1khz? I've got the pop-up menu where I can choose the bit rate for the mix, but the khz seems to be stuck fast at 48khz. I'm trying to share the project with a friend using Logic 5.5 on Windows, and he's having hell with the 48khz files. For now, the only workaround I have is to drag them into a Toast window set to burn an audio CD, burn the CD then drag the songs back from the burned CD. Is there an easier way in Logic, or perhaps some other third party app that does sample rate conversion? Also, I don't suppose there's any way to use audio files at different sample rates in the same song, is there? Because I suspect that what I get back from him will be 44.1khz, and will not match up to the 48khz tracks I've got here. Thanks in advance, Chris
