Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

To the owner of our list.... please delete this spammer.   I moderate a 
list with about 600 musicians and we have never a single spam in 8 
years.   If someone did it would be their only time that is for sure.

I only moderate memberships not the message content.. unless a flame 
war breaks out and then only temporarily.

It always is their only time, because the sender addresses are fake and only
used once (you seem to think it's serious list members who suddenly decide to
send spam?). Even if you wouldn't delete the addresses, they wouldn't be used
again.

If your list is moderated, it's kinda obvious that there is no spam posted on
the list since it would obviously not make it past the moderation. And if in 8
years time nobody has SENT any spam to the list, you're just lucky that the
spammer's listbots haven't found you (yet).

The only two ways to _prevent_ this are list moderation or membership
moderation, the latter meaning that one can only subscribe after sending a
mail to the moderator telling a bit about himself and his interest in Logic
etc. Believe me, a spammer who joins 200 mailinglists to send his spam to,
can't be bothered to do this.
