Radius Group Discount

Radius Group Discount

2006-05-25 by GAmoore@aol.com

Good news, here is the info on how to get Izotope's Radius pitch shifting software for half price of only $199. I think its better than Serato from the samples I heard. It seems to retain the original tone and formants when pitching shift. So I am going with Radius. Some people on this list asked me to share the discount code, but I wanted to check with them first. They said its ok to share it and gave me this link. If that doesn't work out, I'll post the discount code.

Yes, you can offer that to everyone in the yahoo group. You can also

Since we're offering the promotion, I don't think we'll offer a group
buy on iZotope Radius.

Greg,

I read the same but some folks on LUG say that it is much slower that PnT.
Have you seen this in your tests?

Thanks Greg but there didn't seem to be any link with
this post. Could you try again. Also, how long does
this discount last.
Thanks, JP

My mac has not been cooperating lately, so I have no comparisons to
upload yet, but do have some times. I took a small rhythm sample and
doubled the pitch for one comparison, then halved the speed for
another. Mind you, it is a small file, so seemingly small differences
would be greatly magnified were you to do this to a 3-minute song.
Also keep in mind that these are not "real-time" processes. They are
rendered "offline."

Double Pitch
Logic 8.8 sec
PnT 3.5
Radius 6.0

Half Speed
Logic 9.8
PnT 5.0
Radius 9.3

The Radius numbers are probably a tad high, because after I hit
"process" and started the clock, a window popped up and I had to hit
"cancel" before it would process. That probably added about 0.5
seconds to Radius' times.

Regardless, Pitch 'n Time is far faster than the other two, and Radius
is consistently faster than native Logic, but not as fast as PnT.

For some reason, my file references are screwed right now, or I'd have
uploaded these files for y'all. Can anyone help with the following:

I process file #1. When I play file #2 in the audio window, it plays
fine. But when I double click to load it into the sample editor, file
#1 plays. I exported them all to mp3 and tried playing them back
through quicktime, and again, half the files played wrong, in that when
I played the "original" file, I actually heard one of the processed
files. This is not me naming the files wrong, as I have tried it
several times with the same result. Weird.

Anyway, I hope the numbers help your decision-making.

Thanks for the numbers. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't mind waiting for better results. the end result is what is of paramount consideration for me.

Hi
I was going to give out the discount code that I got, but I can't find it now. I emailed them to send it again. Then I will post to the list. Or if anyone else has a discount code they can post it too. I checked with the company and they don't mind it being distributed.
