If you are in the Orange County area south of Los Angeles you may be interested in this logic group meeting.

Dear Greg Moore,

What a great group we had last night!

We had an amazing turn out. At least 50 people showed up (give or
take a few Apple employees), which is a sign that there is a need for
a group like this in Orange County. It was cool to see that many of
the South Coast Plaza Apple Store employees are enthusiastic Logic
users. Darren made the experience go smoothly, and is a true Logic
“PRO.” If you get a chance, send a big thank you email to "Darren
Burgos" darrenb@mac.com and his store manager “Karen Birch”
southcoastplaza@apple.com

I want to thank Orren Merton for the talk, tips, patience, and good-
natured insightfulness he added to our first meeting. I hope he’ll be
a big part of our group, and give us lots more demos; maybe moderate
some meetings? Orren “acquired” many of the raffle prizes from
Thompson Course Technology (the publishers of his books), and, the VI
magazine so many of you went home with last night. Thanks man, even
if your are a “Punk Rocker” aren’t we all? ;-)

What can I say about Bill Burgess’ demo except? “Wow Man!” I guess
we’re gonna’ have to have you come down and do a full 2 hour
presentation DUDE! Bill got us the “SWAG” from Apple (the 4 Jam Packs
and 3 Apple Training Series books)… after I nudged him a little.
Thanks Dude... your welcome back anytime… well, maybe in a few months.

Each month at the OCLPUG meeting we'll explore different production
techniques, set-up(s) of Logic, and various hardware solutions from
group members and guest speakers. The meetings will always be free.
So if you have needs or ideas, please email me your suggestions, I’ll
forward them to Orren and he’ll “… take it off the table!…” Just
kidding! In fact, I’ve already received some good suggestions from a
few of you!

Bill’s demo made use of an Ultrabeat preset and I’ve attached it to
this email for everyone. Also, Orren mentioned a web site for
Environments http://www.swiftkick.com/

I also want to thank Robert Morgan (the big dude in the back in the
cap with the pencils) who drove out from Palm Springs, and, gave up
his seat to collect attendee names for the raffle. Thanks big guy!

Thanks again everyone for a great meeting.

Questions, problems (of the Logic kind), suggestions: logicmixer@mac.com

See you all 7:00pm June 29th South Coast Apple Store!
