Re: [Logic_Cafe] Please Clarify: VST and AU plugs!????

With Logic you should use AU. Those are the only format which will work unless you buy a special VST-AU adapter, which are about $75. There are some plugs still which are only VST and not AU. So if you really need a VST plugin you need to run the wrapper - or do as I do, and use Live or Melodyne for those. (Apple owns Logic and so they don't support VST, but other companies know to provide what the market wants, rather than try to force the market.) > This is one of those things I should probably know, but I'll ask it anyway. > Eat humble > pie, wash it down with a swallow of pride flavored latte. > > I hear both VST and Audio Unit being thrown around with regards to Logic. > What is > the difference? > > I am about to download a demo (DUY) and it wants to know if I want VST or > AU. > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
