Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Hi:
   
  I know this problem I am about to explain is a Logic problem, because these VST's work in another sequencer program, I just don't like the other program.
   
  Both MOTU's Ethno Instrument and Ultimate Sound Bank's Extreme FX install and work as stand alone instruments on my Windows XP, P4 with 2GB of RAM.
   
  When I try to access them via a VST in Logic, there is no sound. I think what is happening is that when Logic is running, MIDI is not getting to the instrument. I experimented with another Sequnecer, and it works fine, so I know the problem is in Logic.
   
  There is no MENU when using in VST mode, so I can't set the midi channel to one, to receive from my controller. (I'm sure it's a MIDI issue)
   
  I am wondering if there are any windows users who are getting this to work successfully.
