Logic 8 Called LOGIC HD ? [from Man Parrish]

Logic 8 Called LOGIC HD ? [from Man Parrish]

2007-05-13 by Man Parrish

Hey,

I found this interesting post here about what the new version of Logic might be. At the
bottom a few so called Logic beta-testers posted comments. Here's one, seems a little too
good to be true, but would be cool if half of what he claims is included ! Also the article is
a good read as well...

I am tired of this B.S that Logic 8 will never see the light of the day, but...it´s
true...because I am a beta-tester of Logic and the new version will be named Logic HD and
it´s running quite perfect on my dual Quad [8 core] beta Mac machine. It´s pretty cool to
watch the 8 little performance meters not even moving when running 48 spacedesigners.
The program is now running with 64 bits floating point and all sonalksis plugins are
include for free. Also there are reverbs from TC Electronic, including VSS4 from
Reverb6000.AccessVirus is included but just one instance at a time. THe GUI is pretty the
same but more purple now and environment is now very easy to understand. THe NI
Komplete4 is included too. I can´t tell you more at this time, but clearly Cubase will for
sure go to the digital heaven!

Curious to know what everyone thinks ....

Sounds BS to me especially the part about Virus and Komplete being
included... Time will tell.

Best,

Andy

Well, the Komplete package retails for about half again what
Logic Pro does, before you add in the claimed Sonalsis and Virus
stuff. So, does including freebies that cost significantly more than
the original product sound likely to you?
That said, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are
versions of Logic 8 in very limited beta running only on 10.5. It
makes more sense than Apple just not bothering to put much work into
one of their major product lines for at least a year, doesn't it? And
I wouldn't be at all surprised if its been decided that the best way
to revamp Logics audio architecture is to work largely at the OS
level.
	Cheers
		David
