AFAIK there's no such thing as US or UK edition, maybe manuals are
different, but the software is all the same.

Best,

Andy

Contemplating full Logic purchase in USA...brought back to UK?

2008-02-13 by Jon Scordia

Hi Guys.

I'm off to the States on Holiday in the next few days, and there will
be an Apple Store nearby.

Given the good exchange rate between $ and £, I'm very tempted to buy
a full copy of Logic.

Simple question: are there any differences or compatibility issues
between the US and UK editions? Will it install and work ok when I get
it home?

Cheers!

Jon

The US version of Logic runs on 110 volts. You'll need an adapter
for 220.

Thats funny. Seriously though there may be a few differences in key
commands.

The Apple stores almost always charge full price. Instead of going to the
Apple store, maybe you can call somewhere like audiomidi.com and have it
overnight mailed to your hotel. they are selling the Logic Studio upgrade for $160.

I think the key command differences are purely down to the US apple
keyboard mapping being different to UK apple keyboard mapping - e.g.
you don't have a £ (pound sign) in the states (shift 3) which is I
think a # (as in sharp) in the US.

Goof luck,
Gil
