[LUG] [WIN] Issues with Logic 5.5.1

[LUG] [WIN] Issues with Logic 5.5.1

2008-03-30 by Chaz

Hi Windows Users:

I am at my wits end, and amthisclose to getting a MAC. I am using version 5.5.1 on a Pentium 4 with 2GB of RAM. I am basically having 2 main problems:

1. I cannot use any of the VSTi plugins that use the UVI engine, so Plugsound Pro, Ethnos and MachFive do not work. Something about too many outputs. I was able to get them to work by using EnergyXT, but that is buggy.

2. The second issue is that the program seems to be buggy in general. I can’t remember it ever being this buggy. I have every update for Windows XP Media Edition 2002, yet once I get halfway into a song, and completing it, it crashes.

Can you let me know a little about your system, and how you are running Logic? I have the money for the MAC, but I’m trying to save from going that route. Eventually I will, but right now is not a good time, financially. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Thanks

Chaz

XP media center is NOT good for music at all. plain ole xp home or
pro is fine.

yeah you need xp home or pro...

don't allow to much history space, and delete that
often...

and make sure your only running on 1 gig of memory
anything more makes it crash out.
