Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Hi list.

I've had a number of problems trying to use my trusty FA-101 with my  
newly set up 8-Core Mac Pro/Logic Studio/Leopard setup.

It seems to work OK if I remember to hook it up and switch on before  
start-up. However if I switch it on afterwards it either doesn't  
register in Logic or AudioMidi set up or causes a Kernel Panic. If the  
machine sleeps I get a Kernal panic on wake up.

This seems to be a known issue reading the Apple Forums, yet I'm not  
sure whether this is a hardware or software problem.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Any work arounds or other bright  
ideas?
