Tascam DM-24 Logic Audio 6.43 with/IFFW-DM

Tascam DM-24 Logic Audio 6.43 with/IFFW-DM

2004-12-14 by bobo_rabesi

Hi I just bought the Tascam DM-24 digital mixer & am working in
Logic Audio 6.43 with/IFFW-DM fireiwre mixer card option.I was
wondering if any of you Logicians could help me make the Template
that will allow the DM-24 to control Logic load & work. The old
Logic ver. 5 template is on Tascam's site but when I try to load it
into Logic it says it won't convert because it is too large. Having
motorized faders working & Logic remembering all of my mixer's
parameters would be heaven. Help!, if you can.

I'm also using the DM-24 and just installed the IF/FW-DM card as well. Just wanted to
second gr8picker's request! It's working great for me so far as an A/D converter, but I'd
obviously like to use it for more than just that!

Hey guys,
Anything we can do with the font that this list delivers in the individual emails? For my miserable old vision, it\u2019s coming through as a tiny \u201ccourier\u201d looking, hard to read font, as opposed to a nice HTML proportionally spaced Ariel or something like that. Any chance we could use the same one as the LUG? How is this done? (assuming anyone else cares about it!)

Cheers,
James

I think this is an option you set for yourself on Yahoo. Everytime I sign up for a new list, it seems to put HTML as the default, which I uncheck each time. But maybe your system is working in an opposite way and not checking HTML. Just go to

My Groups ... click on Logic_Cafe .... then click on EDIT MY MEMBERSHIP ....(You may be asked for your password at that point)..then scroll down to see HTML preferences.

How weird. Without doing anything your post just came through in exactly the font I wanted. (Twilight theme fades up).

James,

you make a good point. In Safari, I have font prefs
set to Verdana 16 pts.\ufffda good san serif face. Out of
curiosity, can you tell me if you are receiving it
that way? Or is it still coming through smaller?

Mitchell - thanks for the heads up. I'm using Entourage for my Email,
checked the prefs and I do have the opportunity to change the plain text
messages from Courier. I switched them to Verdana. Let's see how that
does. I thought it was the sender's prefs that prevailed, but maybe not.

James,

George, from Logic_Cafe, also said to try unchecking
html, in mail prefs, for your groups.

Re: [Logic_Cafe]The list look

2004-12-15 by James Ryan

Actually, changing all my text settings to Verdana did the trick. That way
it doesn't matter what was sent in what format. It all gets converted to
nice text. I'm on a Cinema Display which is fixed at a pretty large format
with very small display of 12 point fonts, so a weird font makes a big
difference.

I would also add that I was pretty quiet during the Logic 7 interface
bashing that went on just after its release. That was because on the Apple
23" Cinema display, Logic 7 is gorgeous. Couldn't figure out what people
were talking about until someone mentioned they were on a smallish CRT
monitor. Flatscreens rule.

Thanks,
James
