Logic Pro special edition

Logic Pro special edition

2008-10-14 by GAmoore@aol.com

The British music magazine Music Tech (anthem publishing) has a special Logic
Pro (only) edition now on newstands in the US. I bought one tonight at Barnes
and Nobles for $19.99. It claims to have 132 pages of pure logic pro, and 62
pages of logic pro workshops. it also comes with a dvd which has some video
tutorials but I have not checked them out yet. It seems to have about 35
separate articles including 4-5 interviews with prominent logic users.

It's also available mail order for those that are not able to get it
via a news agent. £9.00 for UK and £14 for USA including postage.

Yeah.. I saw that on the web site..
I have been watching waiting for it to arrive in New Zealand.
We always get our mags about 6 weeks late.. Must be sent via "slow
boat to china"

Getting direct from the publisher is an option but then it is much
more expensive and also probably very slow.

Thanks! I thought I was losing my mind. I KNEW I saw somewhere that someone was having a Logic Special Edition. I thought it was either Computer Music or Future Music. Now I know what to look for.

Ooh good looking out : )

You can order these issues on line for $14 (actually looks like
pounds) from Music Tech:

http://www.musictechmag.co.uk/

They also have one on Ableton Live which I'm picking up : )

Thanks!!!

I wish 14 pounds were 14 dollars. Actually $20 is not a bad exchange rate,
especially since it doesn't include shipping.

It seems to have a hodge podge of intermediate level articles. There are no
beginner "how to" articles, nor anything overly advanced - for example, side
chaining, mastering, ultrabeat, parallel compression, etc.I didn't see anything
too earthshaking, but I figure if I pick through it, I might find a few
tidbits. There are five artist interviews, but none whom I have actually heard of
before.

There are 16 tutorials for L8 and 6 for L7. I imagine all 22 of them are appropriate in large part either way. It seems like L8 mostly looks different but does about the same stuff as before.
