You'd have to pay me more than $29 to use that POS keyboard. :) And hey, what happened to that cheap Firewire interface? NAMM? :) -- Nick Batzdorf 818/905-9101, cell 590-9101, fax 905-5434

The MacAlley iKey is 99% as good, so I use those now. >and I >am thinking that the fewer gizmos, the better in terms of stability. The Extended Keyboard II is the best keyboard for typing on, in my opinion. I think it qualifies as great. Remember, it sold for $150. There was a smaller Apple keyboard that felt just as good, but it didn't have as many buttons. I have about 10 keyboards and various mice in my garage in all shapes and sizes, but I only use one. It's ridiculous. -- Nick Batzdorf 818/905-9101, cell 590-9101, fax 905-5434

I've only used Apple ones after I couldn't get a couple of third party units to author selected key commands. Ignorance is bliss I suppose. Can you recommend a good one that's solid and accepts all the key commands? Regards Michael Telle

The MacAlly iKey? I bought the two I have a Fry's, but you can find them all over the place. eBay is a good source for computer keyboards. > > I have about 10 keyboards and various mice in my garage in all shapes > > and sizes, but I only use one. The reason I don't like the Apple Pro keyboard is that I type very fast and it causes me to make lots of mistakes. If you don't have that problem, it's not a problem. I should have qualified my dissing. Sorry. I use a MacAlly iKey, but I'm not sure it has all those keys (volume up, etc.). But they're unimportant to me. I open the CD tray from an icon on the menu bar (I forget how to put it there, but it was simple), and the MOTU hardware I'm using doesn't have a volume control for system sound anyway. -- Nick Batzdorf 818/905-9101, cell 590-9101, fax 905-5434

GAmoore, Have you tried LA Computer Company in Anaheim? It's one of those places that just happens to have, in stock, that adaptor that no one else has heard of. They have some good deals on new Macs too, like the free Applecare package I got on my G5 2X2. http://www.lacomputercompany.com/ I don't work for them - Just a happy customer. -Glenn g l e n n r u e g e r : s o n i c : a r t s __/__/__/___/__/___/__/__/___/__/__ think melodically : act harmonically On Jan 13, 2005, at 6:55 AM, Logic GAmoore@... wrote: What stores in LA stock those keyboards? NIck, I wish you could remember this process as I replaced my keyboard , because of space restraints, with a mini hacker lite(It has no 10 key pad). I still have an Apple hangin on the USB port for ejecting disks. Thanks!
