Unable to open MIDI Multi view in Logic 9 w/Snow Leopard

Unable to open MIDI Multi view in Logic 9 w/Snow Leopard

2010-03-17 by Dr. David W. Saslove

Hi All,

I'm
using Logic 9.0.0 w/ Mac OS 10.6.2 on a MacBook Pro 2.16 GHz w/ 4 GB (3
GB readable) RAM and am unable to open my MIDI Multi Instruments w/ the
usual double click over the name of the instr. When I double click, it
appears & disappears right away. The only way I can effectivley
change programs is to select & hold the program number from the
parts menu pull-down on the left. I much prefer being able to open the
entire 128 patch view as I have always been able to pre-Snow Leopard.

Anyone else having this issue? Any work arounds?

Thanks,
drdave

Yes!

I hate when things work well & then don't in a following update...at least here they got it right.

I am glad for you. Logic 9.1.1 is still hanging up on me. I opened it
up fresh today. I did not have any audio or any virtual instruments at
all. I just wrote a little midi sequence using the pencil tool - to use
as a test file for a program I am writing to edit midi outside of
Logic. So I export the file, and it hangs up for 10 minutes and I have
to force quit. This happens 2-3 times an hour when using Logic. I have
repaired permissions. I don't know what else to do. I have a dedicated
hard drive that I just use for running Logic and there is no word
processing, Photoshop, or excel. Just Music and Logic.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
