How do I get the new upgrade into Logic?

How do I get the new upgrade into Logic?

2010-11-05 by Brian

I'm running 9.1.1 and don't have my (Mac Pro) music computer hooked up to the net, because I don't have an internet connection where my music equipment is set up right now. With my Mac Book, I downloaded the upgrade on to a flash drive. I tried plugging the flash drive into the USB of my music computer, but can't seem to figure out how to install the upgrade. What is the deal? Do I need to be plugged into the net with Logic to get the upgrade?

This other thing might seem like a really dumb question. When I'm in Logic, and want to (bounce ) burn a disc, how come I have to go into iTunes and hit eject? Although Logic ejects the disc when I'm done burning it, when the door of my drive is closed, it doesn't seem LOGICal to be going into iTunes to hit eject to load in a new disc, but it's the only way I know how to do it.

 I'd appreciate any help. Thanks....

hello Brian,

I'll let other help you out installing the update as I'm not a good techie. Normally once you have put the update on a stick, you should insert the stick in your mac, drag the update installer icon from your stick to your desktop and double-click on it and follow instructions give on screen.

When you bounce to disc, do you check the option "send to iTunes" (or something in that genre)? That means iTunes opens straight after the bounce and that way iTunes takes control over your optical drive (dvd-cd burner, whatever). I'd suggest not to check that option.

I hope it helps.

I think that is a mac problem not a Logic problem. Have you tried the
eject button on the keyboard (above backspace on mine). I find that my
cds don't always auto eject but that often works
