Hallo, Billy, two ideas for your problems with the doors. 1. I would contact "wooden wonders" in Sweden (link on Marcos Maniacs), they have a lot of experience with "wooden chassis". 2. In Germany Mr. Max Memmiger restored a Marcos 1800 GT built in 1964 - one of the rare "De Dion Rear axle" early Marcos GT -. In the german magazine "Oldtimer Praxis" March 2002 his car was the top story. The report of building up the car over years wiht many photos is 6 pages long. If you are interested I will scan it and send it via E-Mail (language ist german). He had the same problems with the doors and found a solution in laminating a metal carrier plate with the fiberglass body instead of the board of wood used by Marcos factory. As far as I know since then he had no problem at all with the doors. The car is racing with success in classic hill climbings. Excuse my english CF --- In MarcosManiacs@y..., "billyg1uk" <billyg1uk@y...> wrote: > Hi all, > I have just become an owner of a 1968 wooden chassis 1600 cc > here in the UK.
