The way I solved mine was fairly simple and was achieved after a respray with out damaging the paint.Briefly this is what I did. With the upholstery removed from the door I fitted a 6mm turn buckle to the bottom of the door as close to the outer skin as possible. Then with modellers wire the other end of the turn buckle was fastened to the bottom edge of the metal work supporting the door handle. Now turning the turnbuckle will pull in the door and slightly twist it careful adjustment means a quite accurate fit can be achieved. when this is done a piece of flat steel say 12mm * 3mm can be used to replace the wire hoser and turn buckle.Clear as mud. If you feel that you would like to go this way there is an article in one of the Marcos mags', or if this is not available to you and you would like email me and I will send it to you. jacob@...Good luck. I have just become an owner of a 1968 wooden chassis 1600 cc
here in the UK. The car is fine except for one item - the doors do
not fit flush at the lower rear - has anyone had similar problems and
if so is there a fix.
Thanks
Billy
