Welcome Rob!
As far as I know the Feds don't allow anything newer than 1973
into the states unless you jump thru a million hoops. Then you have to
deal with your individual state. That leaves the choice of Marcos to the
1972 and older for import. In the 80's some kits were sold in Georgia that
required putting the drive train in yourself after purchasing the "kit".
There is a Martina in Los Angeles and Chip Pitts has a 1985 Marcos in
Florida. Don't recall any others.
A good history of the Marcos can be found at:
I follow the TVR also and have been on rides with Faisal Kahn
in his Cerbera. Awesome ride!!
As far as a club in the US?? You're in it! We are
all so spread out over the US and Canada (Anchorage, AK to the Bahamas!)
that the web is our contact point. We did have 5 Marcos' together
last fall at the Palo Alto British Car Meet in Palo Alto, CA (just south of San
Francisco).
Check the "links" section for more info (Mark Saxby's site is
the most comprehensive by far).
What TVR do you have?? I want a 2500 (the one with the M
frame and the Vixen body).

me out about the import laws and which models are street legal. I am
a TVR owner and recognize that some models may not be legal in USA.
If anybody can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it,
my wife probably does not share that feeling. Also is there a car
club in the states?
Thanks,
Rob
