Re: "owners Gallery", and "interiors for Marcos 1800"

2003-10-11 by Laurie Sellers

Larry
Thank you for the information.
The 1800 dashboard has a centre console in the dash which houses
four small instruments in a line across the top....fuel, amps, water
temp and oil pressure. Underneath that is the radio and then cigar
lighter etc. There are "cheeks" which flow down each side and
eventually merge into the transmission tunnel. Within these cheeks
are three switches either side, in a vertical line, for the lights
etc. So it is quite different to the later deign of the 3 litre.
The seats are probably very similar though.
Thanks also for the tip on textured paint.
Regards
Laurie

the early 1800. If this dash will work I can mold and cover one for
you. The origional seats are molded fiberglass which can be made
lighter by cutting lightning holes in the glass befor covering,
using a less dense foam filler and utilizing a light weight
upholsery fabric instead of vinyl or leather. To dress the tunnel,
if you aren't going to carpet, there are textured paint like the
boat builders use for the inside of fiberglass boats.

I can mold and cover door panel, seats and dash monels for the 1970
models.
