Sorry all, I do not know what happened to the content of my last email, it just disappeared!!!!!! Hal, 66 and early 67 marcos's had a 1500 pre x-flow engine or confusingly what was advertised by marcos as a 1600 which was actually a 1500 bored to 1650 capacity and modified by a company called Laurencetune. Only 32 cars with this spec were built by marcos. The 1600 kent engine appeared in the marcos in late 1967 when ford introduced it into the mark 2 cortina range. Many of the earlier cars had this engine fitted retrospectively as it had more power than the 1500 and was stronger than the highly tuned and fragile 1650. My own car has had the 1650 engine replaced by a 1600 at some point in its life. Lee Brinkley
