Hi Don,
If the parts are really that unique you might think about sending 
them to one of the firms that rebuilds the units by sleeveing the 
bores with brass eliminating the leaks due to corrosion and resulting 
pitting problem.  I have heard a lot of good things about the two 
firms, Apple is one and I can't think of the other off hand, with 
the owners raving about the quality etc.
