Hi Hal,
I'm running triple side draft Solex 45s on
my street 3 litre Volvo. They were very popular in Sweden with the guys who
raced the 1800 and 3 litre Volvo based cars there. They perform quite well though they're heavy on gas
(maybe that's my heavy left foot). They appear to be quite rare in North America
and parts are very difficuIt to come by here. I had to secure rebuild kits
from England last year. I also recall a guy called Churchill in England
racing a 3 litre Volvo Marcos with triple side draft Delortos with good results.
However your best bet would probably be to go with Webers as Garry suggested
because people over here are more familiar with them and you'd probably find
them easier to get set up for your application.
Regards,
Paul Dransfield

As I am building my vintage racer I have to keep in mind what was available in 67. So please inundate me with all of your experience and preferencesHal#5006___________________________________________________________________ The information contained in this message and any attachment may be proprietary, confidential, and privileged or subject to the work product doctrine and thus protected from disclosure.
