Hi Dave and Maniacs, I just found a letter from Marcos Cars Ltd. dated 25 June 1971 to the original owner of my car (3M5759). It states: "The rear axle and rear brakes are Ford Corsair 2000 with a ratio of 3.77:1". I checked my ratio and it is in fact 3.77:1. Guess that solves that part of the mystery. Now.....I found brake shoes at NAPA for a 4 cyl Capri that fit perfect. Are the Cortina, Capri, and Corsair axles all basically the same (disregarding the different ratios available)?? Would the seals, etc. be interchangeable? I'll figure this out yet! I'm on the Capri, Cortina, Reliant Scimitar, and Tvr lists so somebody must know the answers.
