Hi Guys,

the Gullwing is already sold, outside e-bay. I do not yet know who actually 
bought it. I have seen the car a while ago and it is in need of a bit more 
than a little attention. The chassis is full of holes and I am not sure 
whether any of the chassis can be used in the future.

Nothing is known about its early(racing) history. I believe it was first 
road registered in the early 70's. It is not sure that the chassis number 
was really 3001. It could be that it is the first car of 1963, but at the 
same time there is nothing as far as I know that supports this. I think it 
is not unlikely that the car was raced and no papers were kept or were lost 
and a random chassis number was given to the car when they wanted to get it 
on the road. This happened more than once at the time.

I hope it goes to a good home as it indeed is very worthwile to restore and 
to dig out some of its early history if at all possible.
