Hi Hal,

 

If you really have your heart set on a gullwing, the one owned and under
restoration by Dave McCubbin (who unfortunately passed away a few years ago)
may be a possibility. He spent years on his rebuild project which was
interrupted many times for various reasons (marriage, children, etc.). I
don't know how far he eventually got with it, because he had to fabricate
many parts/components from scratch, but I'm sure most of the mechanical
components were intact. I haven't a clue what happened to everything after
he died but I can't imagine it being disposed of because he put such a lot
of time and effort into the project. He lived in southern Ontario not far
from Ron McLeod. If you're interested, I'm sure a few discrete inquiries
could be made to determine the status of the car.

          Great info!!!! Is there a pic of your car in the maniacs? My dream
car is that of a fastback or a gullwing so I was a little disapointed when
it sold but perhaps it was more of a project than my ability.
