Hi Alvin,
I am in North Carolina, and the DMV here is giving me all sorts of
problems with my 1984 GT. It has an early 70s Capri 2.8 liter V6 in it
which doesn't have a hope in hell of passing emissions, but yet, they
still want it to because of the year of the "manufacture". You would
probably face the same thing if you brought over an LM and lived
somewhere with fairly strict DMV requirements. Those dealers might be
able to give you a better idea of what you face.
I'm not sure if they still sell kits for import to the US, but that
could be a possibility. Then you are open to whatever power plant you
want.
 
BTW, nice collection! I meant to comment on that earlier.
