Kevin, It looks like you found the link to the Marcos Group here in the States. I am aware of a red Marcos in the Northern VA area. I believe the owners name is Dan Duvall. Might find history of that car from a garage in Northern VA called MotorHead, the garage owners name is Jeff. I know he provided mechanical repairs and parts to the car owner. Don't know if this is the Marcos you are looking for, I believe it is a steel frame.
