Subject: [MarcosManiacs] Any known history of #8001, first car of new production 1982.
I am curious if anyone knows any history on my project car #8001. I
think it was shipped to the USA as "parts", as there are no side
marker lights or other USA equipement. On the glove box door there is
a brass plate that reads; first car of new Marcos production. The car
is red and left hand drive. The engine is Ford V6, 2.8L Cologne w/4
speed trans. (I think out of a Mustang 2). I bought the car from
Garry Diver in 2006 toward the end of the summer. Garry had the car
in Atlanta and I think told me he got the car out of Michigan? (any
news on Garry Diver?) The car also has a hole for a sunroof. This is
long shot, but if someone knows the car perhaps they will have the
sunroof, bumpers and some information. The car is now in Arizona USA.
