Happy neew year, Donny.
The car is finaly painted and mostly back together. Am having a real problem trying to install the rear windscreen. The new rubber is so stiff that I can't get it to stay in place while trying to put it in the opening. It is like a monkey trying to seduce a football. I have tried to tape the rubber to the glass (plastic) wiith a great deal of non success. Any suggestions?
I have driven the car around the neighborhood about once a week sence August. Runs great, but a bit airry without the wiindscreens.
Larry

Hampton,
I'm down here in the Keys an hour or two south of you. I have new windshield gasket that I got from Rory a couple years back for my car. It is shaped with mitred corners, so a roll of the proper profile material would have to be mitred and glued for the hard corners. The rear window gasket is simply a roll because there are no hard corners. By the way, the front and rear gasket profiles are very different. Both front and rear use a plastic/mylar filler strip. The glass is all out of my car, so the new gaskets are available for inspection/comparis on if you like.
I also recently bought some front and rear gaskets for my TVR Vixen (not the same profile as Marcos uses) from Marshall Moore, who by the way is starting to carry Marcos supplies here in the USA. You might try him at (540)-400-8310 or www.cmw-tvr. com to see what he has. Also, try Hayes Harris at WireWheel up in Vero Beach to see if he has any gaskets for the Marcos.
Finally, do you know what glass your windshield uses? All I have ever seen are laminated glass with a plastic core like every other windshield. My windshield is tempered single ply just like the rear and side glass in most all vehicles. I've never seen another tempered windshield, and, if I am correct, our cars are 51 units apart when built ( mine is #5514), so I was wondering if you have a tempered windshield also?
I hope this helps - Donny

Well, I'm ready to install the windshield on 3M5463. Does anyone have
the profile of the weatherstrip or where it's available? The roll that
I bought doesn't work as the windshield overlaps the body opening and I
have the same type as used on the rear perspex.
Thanks,
Hampton
